Reporters
Nancy Greenleese can't help but report from Rome, Italy. Every day seems worthy of a documentary, from her morning cappuccino with a heart design in the foam to churches that resonate with the enchanting sounds of nuns singing vespers.
The radio and print reporter also travels widely. She's covered bird-watching in Trinidad and Tobago, professional baseball in Mexico, and Brunei's obsession with the smelly fruit durian.
Nancy's recent stories on the World Vision Report are listed here.
Simone Orendain is an independent radio producer currently based in Manila, Philippines where she was born. Before returning to Manila in the spring of 2010, Simone worked at public radio stations in Charlotte, NC and Chicago where she grew up. She contributes to NPR, Voice of America, The World, the World Vision Report and Marketplace.
As a Middlebury Fellow in Environmental Journalism, Sierra Crane-Murdoch wrote about coal miners, water, strip mining, and mountain culture from her base in Southwestern Virginia. She has freelanced in print, radio, and photography, and is a staff writer for High Country News, a magazine that covers the American West.
Gretchen L. Wilson is based in Johannesburg, and reports throughout the continent on globalization, power and money. Her work has appeared on Marketplace, The World, Slate, the BBC, CBC, and in The Daily Beast, The Wall Street Journal, and the Associated Press. Gretchen is also the co-author of From Dust to Diamonds: Stories of South African Social Entrepreneurs (2007). Her Web site is www.gretchenlwilson.com.
