One LaptopSchool children receive their very first laptop through the non-profit, One Laptop Per Child.
Description
Developing countries in Latin America are increasingly adopting the One Laptop Per Child idea, in an effort to enhance learning and access to technology. Argentina and Brazil are working on getting laptops to all their young students. But it's the tiny nation of Uruguay that recently managed to hand out low-cost laptops to all children enrolled in school.
