The End of Poverty?Description
After decades of foreign aid, poverty remains the grinding reality for more than a sixth of the world's population. Leaders from the World Bank, the United Nations, and other global organizations all have their opinions of what has worked, and what hasn't — with little agreement for a common way forward.
In a provocative new documentary called The End of Poverty?, filmmaker Philippe Diaz examines what he says are the deep-rooted historical and economic forces that have not only prevented us from finding a solution to global poverty, but have perpetuated it for centuries.
Documentary producer Rachel Clift reviewed the film for World Vision Report.
