Agnes Stevens started the non-profit School on Wheels in 1993. The organization provides one-on-one tutoring for homeless children living in shelters, motels, group foster homes and on the streets.
Description
There are thousands of homeless kids in Los Angeles, and as their families move between shelters, cars and the streets, these young people struggle to stay in school. A nonprofit called School on Wheels helps homeless kids by bringing education to them, wherever they are. Eve Troeh reports.
