If you think being a foreign correspondent is a fancy job, you might change your mind after hearing this Reporter's Notebook from Michael Kavanagh. He was in Chad, interviewing refugees from neighboring Darfur, when a rainstorm turned the dirt road he was driving on to sludge — and brought his Land Cruiser to a full stop.
