Delicious PeaceBonnie Allen/World Vision Report
From the Mirembe Kawomera coffee growers, the beans are then processed by another cooperative, Gumutindo Coffee, before being shipped to America.
Description
Most small coffee growers in the developing world can't easily connect with buyers in the United States. But in eastern Uganda, one farmer decided to dream big, and convinced his neighbors to band together. Now all the members of the co-op earn four times as much money for their crop.
By teaming up they've not only increased their earnings, they're also harvesting something else almost as priceless: peace among Muslims, Jews and Christians.
Bonnie Allen brings us the story.
