Shannon Young/World Vision Report
Pulque comes either in its natural white color or blended with fruit.
Description

The agave plant is probably best known in Mexico as the source of tequila. But pulque, a mildly alcoholic beverage made from fermented agave sap, was for thousands of years the most popular drink in Mexico. The beverage was even consumed by pregnant women and the elderly because of its perceived health benefits.

Pulque has fallen out of fashion in modern Mexico, but scientific research is backing up the traditional belief that pulque is good for you. Shannon Young reports from Mexico City.
