Journalists often face danger in the course of their work. Sometimes it comes from hostile governments, sometimes from warring factions, and sometimes from street thugs.

Recently, reporter Mary Stucky was driving through a sprawling slum on the outskirts of Managua, Nicaragua. She was there to do a story about street gangs ... a huge problem in Nicaragua. Mary took this assignment knowing that it could be dangerous -- and it was.
