Cart PusherREUTERS/Philimon Bulawayo
A man who works as a cart pusher in the Zimbabwean capital of Harare.
Description
Zimbabwe's economic woes have driven many into self-employment. As the country's economy deteriorated, hand-pushed carts started appearing on the streets of Harare, Zimbabwe's capital. The men who operate these carts move everything from groceries to building materials — even the sick, for those who can't afford the cost of an ambulance.
Ish Mafundikwa spent some time with a cart pusher and sent us this latest installment in our street vendor series.
