Description
For many woman in rural Asia, access to education -– and advancement -– is out of reach. But Kamal Ahmad hopes to change that. He recently founded the Asian University for Women, based in Bangladesh. Women from across southern Asia attend undergraduate and graduate programs, and even come early for college prep. The university's goal is to educate a new generation of women to become role models and leaders in their communities.
Ahmad joined us from his home base in Boston.
