Description

In the United States, many families keep those furry little rodents, guinea pigs, as pets. But in Ecuador, the "cuy" is viewed quite differently.

The guinea pig has been a fixture in Andean culture for thousands of years. It has worked its way into art, religion, healing practices -- and onto the dinner table. In fact, cuy is one of the country's most celebrated delicacies.

In the latest installment of our "What's Cooking" series, reporter Sean Bowditch takes us to the city of Cuenca, where cuy is king.
