As drug violence in Mexico continues to soar, President Obama has announced a step-up of border patrols in the southern U.S. This is only one of many measures the administration is taking to help Mexico and to prevent more violence from spilling over into this country.

Reporter Will Everett recently visited the town of Matamoros, across the border from Brownsville, Texas. He met one man who lost his livelihood because of the drug cartels -- and another man who worked for one.
