Tanzanite Child Miners
Description

Tanzanite, a magnificent deep-blue stone with a hint of purple, is one of the rarest of gemstones. And it's named after the only country in the world where it's found: Tanzania.

Many of the people who labor in the Tanzanite mines are children. Richard Lough reports on a program that aims to get them out of the mines, and back into school.
