Description
Soccer is a game played around the world. But not long ago, the world's favorite game -- as well refugees who love to play it -- began arriving in the small town of Clarkston, Georgia.
The Fugees are a soccer team made up entirely of refugee kids from war-torn countries like Liberia, Sudan and Afghanistan. They found they were outcasts in their new home country, until a Jordanian woman helped unite them through the game they love. New York Times reporter Warren St. John tells their story in his new book.
