Gun and drug violence in Brazil has turned major cities like Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paolo into war zones. And there's a growing problem of young people who live in the city slums, or favelas turning to crime.

But a non-profit in Rio de Janeiro is trying to turn kids away from guns and gangs, and toward something more productive: boxing. Amelia de Sousa has this story.
