Six Months in SudanDescription
In 2007, Dr. James Maskalyk left Canada to work with Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) in a Sudanese town recovering from civil war. During his time there, he kept a blog to share his experiences as a doctor and a foreigner with people back home, relaying the horror and the hope he witnessed.
Back in Canada, his blog has evolved into a book, Six Months in Sudan. Dr. Maskalyk talks with host Peggy Wehmeyer.
