Description
For the Afghani boys in Calais, the onset of winter in France is especially dangerous. While the government can't deport the minors, it also will not provide for the young migrants who have taken to sleeping under bridges and in parks. Local charities provide some meals and clothing, and larger organizations are trying to work through the French bureaucracy to help these children.
William Spindler of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in Paris spoke with host Peggy Wehmeyer.
