Millions FedDescription
Food prices remain high in developing countries, and the number of people going hungry has grown to more than a billion. In response, the International Food Policy Research Institute has published Millions Fed, a book covering 20 agricultural projects around the world that have helped improve access to food for millions of people.
One of those projects is the greening of the Sahel, which is at the southern edge of the Sahara Desert in Africa. Our host, Peggy Wehmeyer, spoke with David Spielman, one of the book's editors, about the farming practices on the edge of the Sahara.
