Fishing StrugglesDescription
Pirates still plunder the coastal seas of Africa. Their victims often are poor fishermen off the coast of Guinea who struggle to eke out a living by selling fish at the local markets. The government shows little interest in pursuing the pirates; so individual fishermen have to contend with piracy, high prices for gasoline, and increased competition from foreign boats and industrial fishing operations.
