Giving Voice to the VoicelessDescription
Blogging has become a popular pastime for some young, tech-savvy Africans. Reporter Richard Lough visits a cyber café in Lagos, Nigeria where students and young professionals write about poverty, HIV-AIDS, and government corruption without fear of censorship or government reprisal. They can write anything they like and it can be read by anyone on the Internet.
Blogging, says Lough, gives a voice to the voiceless in Africa.
