It’s Our Turn to EatJohn Githongo, Kenya’s former presidential adviser on corruption, now lives in self-imposed exile in Britain.
Description
For six years, Michela Wrong reported from Africa as a foreign correspondent. But her biggest story landed on her own front door in London, in the form of a visiting friend from Kenya named John Githongo.
Githongo became Kenya's anti-corruption czar in 2002 and within a few years blew the whistle on his own bosses. The resulting death threats forced him to flee the country. Wrong recounts his tale in her latest book, It's Our Turn to Eat. She speaks with host Peggy Wehmeyer.
