Students in remote areas of rural China have a hard time getting a good education. Many qualified rural teachers migrate to jobs in China's more affluent coastal provinces, where salaries are higher.

But there are exceptions. Reporter Ruth Kirchner profiles one teacher who's committed to educating poor kids in the mountains of Shanxi province.
